DIRECTIONS: For use on PVC plastics. Stir and use as is. Do not thin. Discard if jellied or stringy. Use within 3 years of date stamp on can.
1) Cut pipe square, deburr, and wipe clean with a dry cloth. Make a trial dry fit on joints (Pipe should fit snugly 1/3 to 2/3 into socket). Use an adequately sized applicator - 2-1 / 2 ”and larger pipe requires a brush or roller. IAPMO specification standard IS8 (PVC Potable Water) requires that purple primer be used. COMPLETE STEPS 2 & 3 WITHIN THIRTY SECONDS FOR A SECURE JOINT
2) Apply a full, even coat of cement to outside male end of pipe and a medium coat to inside of fitting to be joined. Avoid puddles and voids. Pipe end must be coated twice before assembly and be “wet” during assembly. Push and rotate pipe into fitting (1/4 turn) until pipe bottoms in socket. Hold together until joint sets (approx. 30 seconds). If dry, pipe must be recoated.
3) Remove excess cement and leave joint undisturbed for at least 10 minutes. Full joint strength should be reached within 24 hours depending upon temperature and humidity. Pipe may be hydro-tested to 75 psi (water only) one hour after joining. STORE AND USE BETWEEN 40 ° F AND 110 ° F.
INSTRUCTIONS: To apply on PVC plastics. Stir it and use it as is. Do not dissolve it. Discard it if it is in a gel or fibrous state. Use it within 3 years of the date printed on the bottom of the can.
1) Cut the tube square, remove the burrs and wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do a dry fit test on all joints before proceeding (1/3 or 2/3 of the tube should fit snugly into the connector for the joint between the pieces). Use an appropriately sized applicator. For tubes 2-1 / 2 "and larger, a brush or roller is required. The IAPMO specification standard IS8 (PVC pipes for drinking water) makes the application of a purple paint mandatory. COMPLETE STEPS 2 AND 3 IN A SPACE OF THIRTY SECONDS FOR THE BOARD TO BE SIGNED
2) Apply a thick and uniform layer of cement to the outside of the male end of the tube and an intermediate layer to the inside of the connector to be joined. Do not apply too much glue or leave areas without applying it. Two coats need to be applied to the end of the tube before assembly; in addition, the tube must be “wet” during assembly. Push and rotate the tube into the connector (1/4 turn) until it seats on the connector. Hold them together until the joint dries (about 30 seconds). If the tube is dry, a new coat should be applied.
3) Remove excess cement and let the joint sit for at least 10 minutes. The joint should reach maximum strength in 24 hours, depending on the existing temperature and humidity. The tube can be tested with water (only) at 75 psi, one hour after bonding. STORE AND USE AT A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 40 ° F AND 110 ° F
